Sorry for the double post… thought I had put this in the report section instead of the discussion section. Wanted to put it here because I like to go back to old posts (sort of like my own log but with responses that sometimes help). Also, went out yesterday evening real quick around limehouse at dead low tide. Was pleased to throw the net and get some decent size shrimp in good quantities. They were shallow in sandy/muddy pockets and the water was HOT! No luck on reds though. Had wife and my 2 year old with me.
(from 8/8 and 8/9) Hit areas by the inlet yesterday and today. Had a lot of luck yesterday right at high tide until 2 hours after. Just had a quick trip with the wife and son and we ended up getting two in and missing two. Both right about 30". It was nice and overcast which may or may haven’t played a part in why we got the big fat skunk today. Started with a heavy rain for the first 20 mins (when we had the only hits… may have been sharks though) and then every now and then got a shark messing with the baits but that was it. Overall, had a great time… especially yesterday with my 2 year old being there.
Can’t remember temp yesterday but today the temp was around 87 where we were. Cut mullet and finger mullet on the bottom from 0930 to about 1330.
