Stono Inlet to Kiawah Reef

So I hope to catch a smooth day for my buddy and I to escape the family and hit the Kiawah Reef (18.5’ deep V Sea Pro). Since we are staying in Folly I was hoping to go out Stono Inlet. However I hear that may be tricky. Any suggestions on getting out there? I don’t mind going a different route if necessary but was hoping to just pick the right weather and go for it. I am familiar with the area but have never been out the inlet of Stono to the ocean but fished all around inside the inlet. I have been out the harbor, Capers, and Bulls but every inlet is different… Any suggestions?

try the North Edisto much easier!

Search “Stono inlet” for multiple posts.
I’ve run it for past 7 yrs in 17-22.5ft boats. Stay toward the one green can going out, drive by sight between the breakers.

Worst you do is bump sand bottom. Keep track running on GPS for return trip. When returning you’re coming back on back of breakers so not as easily seen.

Thanks. I spoke with a guy who said it shouldn’t be a problem but just pay attention to the breakers just as you said Stickman. I will keep the green can close
