Stono Inlet

I’m wondering from any of the guys who have ran offshore out of Stono Inlet this year, has the channel moved since last year? I have a track I have used in past years and I’m wondering before I try to make a run going in/out on a low tide if I need to worry about the channel having moved off my track I have used in the past. Thanks!

I have run it alot. Obviously whatever you track is will matter relatively to where other people are running it. Dredge system going on in folly river now and im still running my same route to the south that has worked the past 2 years

My path was hanging close to kiawah and then South. I never did find a strait shot that worked at low tide but I heard there was one.

Is the Folly Dredging project going to deepen the channel of the inlet? But otherwise thanks! Those routes sound similar to the one I have ran in the past. I just wanted to be sure before I attempted to use the inlet. That inlet can be very dangerous to a person who doesn’t know where the channel is.

Been running through there quite a bit. At low tide you can see the bars easily. It can change quite a bit after a big swell. Once you have your track line it should be fine for a while. Make sure to check your track during daylight post any storm swell.

If going to 4 KI stay on a SE heading near the green can.

If going to/by LCA reef, can cut east once past first sets of breakers by red cans. There’s 5-7 ft of water before the far breakers. Gotta put up with some rollers but I just did it in a 16.5 ft boat out to LCA 2 weeks ago- no issues.
