Has anyone run out of the Stono inlet recently. There is a lot of erosion in front of the ocean course, I was wondering if the inlet has changed also.
Have not run out there but know about the erosion and Kiawah is going to do some repairs to the area as it is impacting the course. The repairs they did a few year ago did not work and this new effort is changing the flow pattern, so likely the inlet will not be the same as in the past.

Went out and back through there last week. It is definitely changing and we went though pretty slow so the depth sounder would read. Made it out and back just fine though.
The sandbars are well past the green buoy now on the left side of the inlet. We ran out off Folly… have not run the Kiawah beach side yet.
