Stono/Kiawah Area

The wife and I had a sitter lined up earlier in the week and didn’t let the forecast sway us today. Really wasn’t that bad out there. Didn’t have much time and also had to help some fellas with a tow to the ramp. Fished several larger creeks to get out of the wind; hugged “wind protected” bends and it was pretty (**() nice out. Fished cut mullet on the bottom, shrimp on the bottom and cork, and halfed crab. The winner was the cut mullet (especially the heads of some big, 3 times de-thawed mullet). Missed two good hits at the first spot (rusted, dull hooks… my fault). Changed hooks and moved to different creek. Worked a bend, then anchored up from structure two hours before high tide and pulled up a 29.5" and 27". Left them biting due to already being late with the sitter. Can’t remember looking at water temp but depth was about 10-12 ft (I’m thinking at the structure it might’ve been half that).

Have Friday off and plan to fish like there’s no tomorrow. Saw a few small schools of finger mullet… my favorite sign

good day on the water!! Catching and helping others!
