Stono (Limehouse) Sunday

Took my 4 month old out for the first time. He wasn’t too good at anchoring, cutting bait, or driving the boat but he was good luck for an outing that we didn’t really try much to fish. Hit only 2 spots and had two reds blow up some mullet on the bottom (mullet that I left on the boat overnight… oops). hour after tide started moving out, by where grass meets a dock, in about 3 to 4 feet of water. have pics but computer being sloooooooooooow. sorry.

Nice job! I fished the incoming from 9:30 to 2 with artificials and only got one strike just as the tide switched. I figure they might start biting with the outgoing, but I had been out long enough. Ran from Limehouse past Metal Trades back to Elliot Cut and a few places inbetween. Total of 40+ miles and burned 6.5 gallons. Wadamalaw Sound was a washing machine with 15+ kts of wind bucking the strong tide and the water was dirty. The cleaner water was north of Limehouse.

I am assuming the 40+ miles was not done on the Manta Ray…the gas mileage would of been much better.lol. I had no luck either, this past 2 weeks have been no luck for me.

We’re stuck between Barack and a hard place. Hide their food stamps under their working boots.
