I’ll add my $0.02 to the lack of reports … lack of fish. I saw one tailing red on a flat last night in the Stono. Only the 2nd one that I’ve seen this year in 4 or 5 trips. Fished most of today (falling and rising tide) until storms chased me off the water. Even switched to live bait (mud minnows) to do some prospecting. 1 stingray to show for it. Tried all type of spots that have produced in the past. Saw a DNR report that said most spots from Stono to Edisto were slow. Anyone having success in this area?
Nope. Fished the Stono last week. 1 ray.
No luck either, caught 2 small whitting, maybe it will turn around soon

We went Saturday and fished Stono Inlet before all the partiers ran us off. Managed 15 whiting. Then went looking for tailing reds and only saw one and he didn’t want to play.
Ive had my best luck in the stono with live bait on moving tides around where the mouth of tributaries meet thw main river. Use a popping cork and let it float the edge or a very lite caroli a rig.
1 trout on DOA rising tide

Went back out today with the wife. Had one decent fish break off near a dock. Could’ve been a red (or a ray). And 1 whiting. Fished from limehouse to Botany Bay. Great day on the water. Just no fish.
Zacros, I agree. The reds definitely took a hit this past winter. Very sad to see this happen.
