Stono Report: 1/25/16

One of our managers had the chance to fish the Stono twice last week. He had a cold launch out of Limehouse each day and fished some go-to spots. He fished both the incoming and outgoing tides each day in roughly 1-3ft of water. Some places had crystal clear water; in other places the water looked like chocolate milk. Fish were caught in both water conditions. He and his buddy managed a total of 13 reds over two days. Baits of choice were the Saltwater Assassin Sea Shad on a TroutEye jig head and the Savage Gear TPE Fly shrimp under a DOA popping cork. Fishing gear included: ALX Boku rods, G.Loomis Greenwater rods, Shimano Stradic reels, and hi-vis Daiwa J-Braid.

Great report and pics! Thanks.

Looks like y’all had some big fun.

Our water(Cooper River) is more the “chocolate milk”.

Been tough, but there have been a few caught.
