I will be there. I want to be there as early as possible, in hopes of finding some of the structure. I am debating on bringing the cast net, as I had so much luck on the willy special (electric chicken paddletail) last time. I hope I can get into the spottails, since I was a trout weenie last week:stuck_out_tongue:
how deep is the area that we will be fishing? I only have 30ft of rope so i guess i have enought to anchor in 10ft. Will i need to make a stop for more?
thats more than enough rope.im draggin maybe 12ft or so,and thats plenty.its very shallow where we are fishin.ill be at the landing at 0700.bring plenty of chickens,and i would use some shrimp(live)if i were you.me and the boy are fishin artificials but you know that.

I’ll be there and I will be fishing in the tourney, fished it a lot in the last two months but today was one of the better redfish days. Caught seven between 14-17 no real size to them but they are a lot of fun otherwise. The first red I hooked cut me off on the oysters and as I was catching another my cut float started swimming back towards me - grabbed and there was a skinny little 14incher on the other end. Good luck to everyone fishing the tourney tomorrow.

I am curious to see how you guys make out. I live right by the Limehouse and with a 2 small kids have not been able to break loose and take the kayak & rod out, but reading your reports are making me think it is time to dust off the rod.

About 11:30 I put the boat on the truck and ran up to the Wando. I managed one undersized red and one black drum. They just didn’t seem to want to cooperate today. Glad you managed at least one keeper! Stop by and say hello next time you see me down there.

I met whtz and fished with willy yesterday and only managed 3 undersided trout and an undersized flounder. Water was really muddy.
