Found a safety gear bag today floating near the confluence of Rantowles and Stono. If you lost it PM/email me with a description of the contents and I will see that it gets back to you.
As for the fishing, I spent most of the day fishing for trout with the high tide around noon. Tried to catch some shrimp first, but they have moved with temp drop this last week. Could not catch a single one when last week I had hundreds.
Found the trout in two spots. Both spots were 6-8 feet of water with lots of moving water and current breaks. Total of around 20 (12-16") all on a glow DOA with a chartreuse tail.
Went looking for some reds later in the afternoon to use up 5 tags before getting more. Headed south towards Wadamalaw and started casting along a familiar shoreline. Water was still a little high, but I got to one of my favorite spots and hooked up right where I expected too. Caught a total of 6 reds from 21 to 28.5" with 4 coming on successive casts and one small flounder. All on Zman Paddlerz in Houdini color rigged on a flutter hook.
