Got on the water around 6:15. Used my topwater for a while losing 2 and had a couple of nice blowups! Decided to go up in the grass and try for some reds. I saw a few but was unable to put the artie in a place for a stike. On my way back i anchored between two docks and threw the trout trick over an oyster bed. GAME ON!! Caught 6 trout and 4 reds. Tossed back 4 smaller trout and two reds. The remaining fish said they wanted to go home and watch football with me!!

Also, has anyone noticed the Trout Tricks seem to be holding up better than they did for me last year? I caught 4 on one without having to replace it. Seems like they used to get ripped up pretty easily.
I’ve never had a huge problem with the trout tricks tearing up unless I’m around bluefish, or if I get trout or flounder making a LOT of short strikes.

PeaPod, it is a Penn Battle 4000 on a 7ft med fast penn battle rod. My other pole is a Penn Battle 4000 as well on a allegiance penn rod. One has 30lb braid with 20lb flourocarb leader the other has 20lb braid and 15lb flourocarb leader. I might look into getting a bunch of those tricks. I have a few other baits for trout but man was i impressed on sunday with the tt!!!
