Stono tonight with Willy and Mudroc

Had a great evening again- met up with Mudroc and Willy to hit the rising tide. Caught one red about 19-20 inches on shrimp under a cork just before time to leave so I didn’t get skunked. Willy and Mudroc both wore 'em out - hopefully they’ll post the particulars since I couldn’t keep count for them! Good fishing and great company!

Edited to include - Hope you guys aren’t getting tired of hearing about the Stono, it’s just so convenient to fish.

from what little i have seen of the stono, this is some dang good fishin whtz.its a little bit of a ride for me,but well worth it.my days in the cooper river are over i think.i had already posted this in your other thread, but since you started this thread, ill post again.i started out with 3 dink trout up to 13 inches all caught on grubs, along with the chicken.i hooked into a whopper under a boat dock, but was unable to land her.what a fish…later i moved to a different spot, and was able to land a 18 incher, and hook 2 or 3 others that got off on me at boat.(still not used to yak yet.)also caught 2 or 3 bluefish which put up a heck of a fight on light tackle.i wish i would have spent more time in the spot whtz and mudroc was fishing, but i had seen that second spot as we were paddling by earlier, and thought it looked promising.it was…and is…
got to see whtz land his spottail.pretty dang good fight i thought.nice fish too.unfortunately i lost out because i didnt get to see mudrocs 2 bigguns.hopefully he will post how big they were.also i did see mudroc catch a cobia, yes…a cobia, and i snapped the pic to prove it.kinda surprised us a little.i got dad gum nightshift the next 3 nights or i would be right back in the stono tomorrow.i understand why folks like this river so much now.good fishin with good people.thanks fellows.we will do it again fo sure.:sunglasses:
