Fished from 8 am to 4 pm hitting multiple spots from Wadmalaw sound to marker 28 near Limehouse and came home with a 16" trout and a whiting. Also caught a couple of small sharks and the obligatory sting ray. We tried every bait known to man but had very little action. THere was lots of bait in the creeks, especially evident as the tide fell and the water was moving fast. Of course, as we hit spots closer to Limehouse we were inundated with recreators, skiers and “captains” wandering all over the place! At least the weather was nice!
Very similar on the lower sound/upper N. Edisto. Tons of menhad in the one creek I tried at low -popping all aound the boat and filled up the livewell in 2 cast. Only fished for 45 minutes at a creekmouth just after low. Caught/released 2 bonnetheads -on on 1/2 crab, the other on live (probably dead by then) 6" menhaded.
That was it. What kind of sharks did you get?
