“Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him”
I don’t blame you Joe. I took my son out to Pitt St. today for some crabbing and to catch some bait for later trips, and man was it miserable out there.
Here you go Stono! Should work for you:sunglasses: http://www.gizmag.com/entrosys-motorcycle-air-conditioner/14205/picture/110766/

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

I know what you mean Stonoman, I went crabbing at “Three Pipes” on Saturday (7/28) Got there at 6:30am, wasn’t to hot then. There are a bunch of very hungry baby crabs, only got 4 keepers by 11:00am and I was beat and cooked! Took 'em to my parents and cooked them Maryland Style (clean before you cook) for my mom. I could only get her to eat one of them, she liked it, just refused to eat ‘your crabs’ Next time, I’m buying them. Cheaper then the gas to go get them and maybe I can get my mom to eat more than one. lol

No need to be in that heat and rough water, Joe. You can live vicariously through this website for a month or two until things cool a bit!
Maryland Style (clean before you cook)??? Don’t know what part of MD you’re referencing but that’s the first I have ever heard of that - MD or anywhere. Grew up in and lived in MD through college, worked in crab houses, spent many Saturdays crabbing on the Bay, and been eating “MD style crabs” my entire life - steamed whole (lowcountry crabs now!). Only other way I’m familiar with is whole in a boil.
May hit the river at night next week.Use the green lights???

Not to derail the thread…
Clean before you cook is a New Jersey Italian method, mostly done with a red pasta sauce.
MD style = steamed whole. 1/2 beer, 1/2 Vinegar, 1 bucket of Old Bay or J.O. seasoning. Let the pot start to steam, wait for the steam to just weep out from under the lid, add a layer of crab and a heap of seasoning, another layer, another heap… 15 min = perfect crab. Makes me miss the Chesapeake…
My new fish cleaning station is up.YEA!!!
