It’s disgusting what we put up with. Imagine your grandfather being told similar things. Each generation gets softer and each generation gives up more and more freedoms.
I have to purchase a state hunting license to hunt my private land that I own because “the animals belong to the state.”

I find it funny that in response to a post a year ago or so, some on this site said this sort of thing could never happen. Hmmm.
I cannot find a final approval for the amendment 59, does anyone know the current status? Not surprisingly, there were widespread negative public comments on the proposal. Also, the amendment was proposed under the prior administration.
December to February there is very little offshore activity besides bottom fishing. It is also the best time to bottom fish since the fish tend to be in shallower water when water temps are closer. Meaning the run out is shorter.
This would effectively close offshore fishing for three months in SC for no good reason.
I agree, it’s frustrating. IMO, this is what happens when a bunch of unelected retards are in control. I’ve been to their meetings and conferences, etc, ad nauseum.
THEY DONT GIVE A ■■■■ what we think or want or what’s best for the environment or our fisheries. They have a predisposed ideal and a mission to carry out their DEI, global warming, ESG, WHO, WEF, etc.

I was grouper fishing before there were any limits, could keep as many gags as we cared to clean. There is something called filet and release
