Anyone have a recommendation for a box that will keep things put? Ones that I have won’t hold small hooks, split shot, or crimps without them falling all over inside the box.
I use the clear Plano (I think) boxes from Wally World. They are the kind with the dividers. I have a few, depending on what kind of fishing I plan to do. One for hooks, sinkers, swivels, beads, etc., one for top water lures/baits, one for jigs & plastics, and so on. That way I can keep kind of organized when I go out. They fit in my bigger tackle box, that I keep all of my essential stuff in, reading glasses(so I can see the hook or swivel to re-tie), whistle, clippers, scale(just in case I catch something big enough to weigh). I’ve never had a problem with the smaller stuff staying where it belongs.

Thanks. May just be the boxes that came with my soft side bag. I’ll try the Plano’s out.
a friend of mine puts the small stuff inside a pill box (he uses the individual pill containers) and then puts those into a larger clear box like the plano as above. jan
I have started using old peanut butter jars, peanut jars ,crystal lite containers to put stuff in that i want to stay dry,my wife is actually surprised how many uses i have found on the boat for these old containers…i have a shop that throws out 1 gallon round buckets i use them to organize the other containers in.
I haven’t found any box to hold my hooks and swivels in that keeps them separate when the box is stored vertical. I now store my boxes horizontal in my tackle bags and nothing ever gets mixed up unless someone on the boat dumps the box over.
