so when I lived in south jersey some of the best fall fishing spinning or flyrod was right before a storm, sometimes during and right after, and this is from the surf and in the back and of course not in a boat but walking the flats, or the sodbanks (grassbanks) what about here in the low country I would really appreciate some info on this matter as a storm is about to go past us one way or another, by the way that was mostly for stripers which I realize not the best fishing here but the seatrout used to be good then also because any bait that’s around should be hugging the surf with any hungry fish on it.
You know there is fishing and everything else that get’s in the way of fishing and the storm does not have to hit here as long as it passes by fairly close and have not been in jersey for about five years, been in North California catching salmon alot of fun but a little overrated the steelhead are a blast and amazing how all the fish actually resemble each other a bit so talk to me people where do we walk and fish around here storm or not
where? the Folly pier, folly river before u get to the beach, the high beach at Folly which is all the way to the north end right before the light house/old coast guard station and surf fish, breach inlet before the bridge into IOP on the right side, under the cosgrove bridge for good night time trout fishing at nearly high tide, edgewater in the very back of wappoo rd west ashley, under the limehouse bridge on main rd johns island, wadmalaw islands new small dock, etc etc etc…
there’s tons of places, try a few and see how u like the areas
And I didn’t see your post until I post. I checked CG Inlet and CG pier. There’s a few brave folks on the Pier. I wanted to go see but I didn’t want to pay $2.00 bad enough.
