Dad Gum it… I’m about ready to go drag my worm on the bottom, rain or no rain. I checked the CG Inlet yesterday late and there were a dozen or so botes in sight of 59th Channel St. I had a call in CG at 2:00 pm and checking the Inlet, there was no one in sight (fishing). I’m trying to decide now how to rig my umbrella or just get in the Whaler and put the top up. I know the fish are biting right Now!
Anybody doing anything other than dragging the Web?
I’m smoking a pork roast, carmelizing some onions, stewing some snap beans, and will be making mac-n-cheese here shortly. The only waves in my house are the small ones from the pump on my aquarium…
Not worth the risk. They’ll be better days.
I’d stick to the protected back waters

Drug a white grub, Scrimp Gulp and Blood Worm tape. I had about a 1/2 dozen bites and 1 really good one. Set the hook, the fish made a short run into the current and was G O N E.
I choose to go fish off the pier one of my pals houses on 59th Channel in CG. Tide was coming in hard and fast.
