Stormy day

Went out early Wednesday morning looking for trout. Was fishing with white DOA shrimp below a Cajun thunder cork connected with 15 pound fluorocarbon. We have been having quite a bit of success lately with that set up.

Got the boat in around 7:45 and proceeded towards the spot we generally fish in. We were slowed down due to having to look for the push pole (it fell out of the clips while we were running). Arrived at the creek and shortly after caught a small trout. After that we caught about 7-8 other small trout. Bite suddenly stopped due to a few dolphins coming into the creek to feed.

Ran up River and began fishing around the Limehouse bridge pilings to get out of the rain with no luck. Once the rain passed we ran down river and through wappoo cut and fished around the Ashely River bridge pilings where we caught a few small pin fish and a 20.5 inch sheepshead that weighed in at around 8 pounds.

Thankfully it stayed sunny most of the day although many people were telling us it was raining by them.

No, we ended up switching to live bait.
