Stormy & fishing trees with anchor

Wednesday fished a few creeks while the storm was brewing at the bridges. Caught reds, black drum and croakers. Hit it again yesterday with storm again near bridges and windy. Fished structures and caught numerous reds and the last red of the day was hung up in some trees. Wind blowing like crazy, boat drifting in the wrong direction, trolling motor dying and I have to get this one out before it dies. Drag set so I pull back over the structure and throw my small anchor out and start pulling on structure and now my reels pulling line and fish is out and after awhile of reviving it swims away

Stand-up stuff Eric, but I would expect no less from you!
On behalf of the fish, I say “Thanks”!

Good stuff as usual, sir. What’d you mean “drifting in the wrong direction”? Pardon my ignorance, and thanks in advance.

Well done sir!

BB, I think he means that the wind was pushing him in the direction he didn’t want to be going in since the trolling motor was so weak. I think lol

Thanks Fellas. Blackbart; Tide pushing me away from fish stuck in trees and I have to either troll back on top or beyond structure to try getting it out or crank up and move forward trying not to bust my line and the possibility of that braid wrapped and fish stuck for sure
