Strange Catch

We went out fishing today. Back to my roots. Lines in about 0630, water temp in the 60’s, and some pretty turbulent waters. Used live baits all day with our light tackle.

My boys did amazing out on the water today. My oldest son casted, set the hook, and landed his first fish all on his own. It’s the second biggest fish on the stinger in the picture there, well, the first picture.

Caught 6 slingers, and one nice sized ARS. Who would have thought to find one of those out where we were. The action slowed down after the sun got high in the sky, so we called it a day and headed back to the hill. It was a nice ride back.

Glad to see yer home safe and sound and able to get out and spend some good quality time with the family! Thanks again for what you do!

Thanks Russ. It is great to be home. I should be making my first off shore run here at the end of the week. I’m waiting to see how Thursday or Friday is panning out. Can’t wait to get out there.

So, no one seems to think it’s strange that there is a snapper on my stringer of trout?
