i would imagine it has to do with wind direction. lake murray is like that. if there’s a strong east or west winds the “big pool” gets pretty gnarly. south and north makes it rough in ballentine and crystal lake.

Yeah, but it doesn’t get that rough with 20 knot winds on Moultrie. There has to be really strong winds and usually a LWA for those size waves on Moultrie. I know cuz I’ve been out there in those conditions trolling with the bow dipping water .
What’s up with the 1 to 3 and less than 1 at the same time.

yeah, they worked. i wish there was a wave buoy. i would love to see what the actual conditions were we went through saturday. i know we were wet. it was the roughest i’ve seen on the lake. i’m thankful we went out at a different landing than normal.

that one was actually fairly complicated. i have a program called smiley central on my pc. for this i had to insert it into an email message, then save the image (a gif file) to my photobucket page, then insert the image from photobucket into the forum post.
