Striped in the saluda

Anybody seen any striped action in the saluda around James r metts or the bridges?

I’m hitting the Congaree tomorrow. I know its not the Saluda, but I will post a report.

What were they hitting on? If you don’t mind telling. Also, I’m not familiar with the Congaree at all, so where is the Jordan landing? Thanks.

Bob, that’s the landing at the end of Rosewood near the fairgrounds.

Thanks Tim. I thought that’s where it might be.

I caught my biggest two river stripes on a long A bomber. It was the older style before they went with the prism/reflector style. Caught a lot of fish on that Bomber, almost cried when I lost it. New ones don’t seem to work as good. I would think they will be moving into the zoo now

any word yet on if they’re actually down by the zoo yet? should be … but looking to do some kayak fishing this weekend if they’re moving up…

Life’s too short not to fish

They are hitting longer stick type baits…Rapalas…they wouldn’t touch soft plastics…very strange. We saw a lot of people heading up the Saluda, but we didn’t have to go very far to catch fish. Just took 2.5 hours to figure out what they were hitting.

Saw a lot of bank fisherman on the upper Saluda around hwy 25 bridge this week but we only caught big white bass out of the boat! Should turn on any daynow!
