Being a resident of Bonneau Beach, while taking the dogs on a golf cart ride down to the Black Oak Road boat landing, i gotta a chance to talk to a DNR fish tech, and watched him turn 50,000 baby strips into Lake Moultrie

I think it will get better. Last year striper were pretty hard to find on the rivers here in columbia. This year they are loaded with short fish from last years release of 1,000,000 fry. One guy said he caught 50 recently but only one above 19" with most being very small. It will take some time for these fish to get bigger. But we should see a population of keepers in a few years. It will be a while before we see 40+lb fish though.

Looks like they put in 2.5 million in Santee Cooper system this year and 2006. Last year they put in 2,850,000.
