Int. line and clousers. Been catching them on Murray since Sept.

I like sinking or int line in the fall/winter. Look for the birds and you will find the fish. Coyote, clouser and deciever flies work pretty good, coyotes especially on the drop. I mainly fish stripers in the lake during the winter and then start fishing the rivers in the spring. They have been schooled up all winter.

OFM, you fish Murray this winter? Never saw another fly rod seemed like.

Never made it out of bear creek this year, only fished a couple times.

Was wondering where you found em “schooled” up. Last 2 months have had em spread all over. Fall/early Winter was best I’d ever seen and then the mud.

Water stayed pretty clear in bear creek and the 3 times I fished found nice schools without all the go fast boats trying to run you over, it was kinda nice! I have a house at Adams camp and it was much, much muddier there than in bear creek. This was really the first year I fished that area in the winter, usually fish from camping creek to the upper lake during the winter with the rest of the yahoos.
I was on bear creek monday and tuesday and saw birds working pretty hard and I was stuck on land working.
