Not sure what big fish was, I was putting the boat on the trailer as it was being weighed in.

Results were
2 fish weight in

1st 23#
2nd 18.1#
3rd 17.8#

It was a very tough morning with the wind but by midday it was gone. We finished 4th with 17.5#…gotta learn to stuff bait down our fish …lol…y

With the baits you use, just one would have put you in 2nd. lol

How many boats were in this? I talked to a lot of the guys from NC Saturday but nobody knew how many boats.

16…many that were signed up didn’t even show up…but your gonna have that when you have a “morning of registration” style tx… I figure the weather played a big role…can’t blame them honestly…it was nasty Sunday morning…they said next year there would be a pre-registration and cutoff…

Still a decent payout. Think 1st had like 13 or 1400$…not bad for a 150$ entry fee. Would have been way better if the weather wasn’t an issue…

It was a nasty morning and preregistration would be great, and having a bait store with big baits open the morning of the tournament would help.

The most important thing about pulling/using big bait…if your gonna tx fish and use big bait don’t rely on a bait shop. You will save yourself alot of stress…even with pre-registration you will still have to come to Dreher for boat check.(there were some complaints about having to go to Dreher, people said it was in the middle of nowhere) guess these people had never fished a decent size tx before on Murray. But I understand some people’s complaints. Some just aren’t as serious as others and you can never satisfy both sides.

All feed back is welcome though and I will pass it along to Jeremy.

I have no problem with Dreher or anywhere on Murray, is no super long run, wish I didn’t have to rely on a bait shop but when you work shift work it happens. I have no complaint’s on tournament just wish the wind gods would have been sleeping that morning.

One thing about Murray is most of the time your going to have to deal with the wind. You have to let that wind be your friend tho. That chop on the water is not a bad thing! :sunglasses:
