Got down to the lake at 6 PM and headed out to the main channel. We trolled around Jakes Creek and picked up three keepers. Then we had to head for shore as a storm from Lexington was pretty serious. After sitting at the dock for couple hours we headed back out about 11:30 PM. Downlined for hour or so and no luck. Another storm came in and we moved closer to the dam so we could get to the landing if we had too…bingo…passed a very large striper pod with some huge sonar returns…got one downline in and wham we had a 20 lber in the boat 15 minutes later…found the pod again and another 20+ lber in the boat…then an 18 lber and last a 10 lber. We wound up with the limit and headed home…best ever on Murray and I have been fishing there 10 or more years…
Nice fish and action. Sounds like a repeat some boys from the MSC had a couple weeks ago. May even draw us down to the dam.
(Guess I should have paid more attention to the fisherman, rather than the fish since they’re the same guys.)
