Yo mudroc,cutmullet,5151, and all yall barfers … stillfishin’(from kfs) says the stripers are stacking up below the lake wateree dam.(I think they have run up there from lake Marion to spawn) I may try to get over there(just east of Columbia) jan 12/13. I could use some pointers throwing this long rod.Come on up and get 'ya some freshwater action !
That sounds tasty I might have to get up there and give it a shot with ya even though I wasnt on your list 
I can give ya some pointers on the longrod havent thrown for stripers but I can find that out.

This would be my first trip to camden…stillfishin’ had some really good reports last year and I spoke with him at the last barf. I think he may have some good action going on (you all know we don’t give up our “spots” …usually) …so …don’t tell anybody but I have a good feeling about the possible fishing opportunities at stillfishn’s home grounds …A nice plus is …I am assuming it is only accessable by 'yak !

HELLO ALL So we are fishing ? I WENT OUT TO DAY AND NO FISH:frowning_face: But thats a first i think it was the cold rain . So on this trip you can catch catfish, stripers ,bass, crapie all on minnows or shad, some days topwaterplugs
The river is 7 miles long the first 3 miles reel good for stripers and bass some shallow spots u might have to hike a little:frowning_face: the rest is a slow lazy river grate catfishing jay
oooh and as titty[:0]bars go ill have to ask my buddy he lives at them:smiley:
I just got off the phone with stillfisn…He says the locals will fish live bait from shore in the big pool below dam(cuttmullet …you could park your camper here)If you float straight downstream the trip would take 2 hrs but if you paddle upstream and re-visit some spots it could take up to 7 hrs.Water runs 7am-840 & again at 12.He says there are some shallow spots on the way down with deeper pools behind them(sounds good to try a flyrod)His friend(works at baitshop) has a 12 yak trailer and will bring us back for a gas donation.Ya’ll come on up !! (weekend of jan 12) …it should be fun !!

I’m up for camping. stillfishin’ says there is a grassy field at the bottom of the dam.I can bring firewood.Maybe we could hook a couple from shore friday nite(I also could pick up some shad/herring in a 30 gal.bait tank on the way over)…I am assumming there would be no problem with a fire(and some beers) …correct me if I’m wrong stillfishin’ …Yo mud …5151 …chasin’ tail …what about ya’ll ?
NOPE A FIRE AND SOME BEER SOUNDS GRATE there is also 2 bate shops on the road to the dam. The DAM bate store has beer and( great hot subs)

so im working this weekend but im still off on the 12. Im going to try some nite fishing at the dam i have been told that some stripers have been caught at dusk so im going to try sat nite/ me and my buddy went down the river last weekend all we gotin the kayak was largemouth/black bass 1 to 3lb ers
