Sorry for late report but went out Sat. morning targeting crappie. White we’re rolling but we got to a good spot and do op minnows down. We marked a lot of suspended fish which turned out to be school sized stripers. Only caught a few. I was wandering if there’s a better bait for striper or if artificials are better if they are suspended like that.
Live herring dropped down to the school or spoons jigged vertically in the school should work.

Thank you guys.
Due to a clog in my filters, I lost most of my 5 dz. herring on Wed. night. I went out & bought some shiners (on Rick K.'s advice). All the fish I caught on Thurs. & Friday were on 3-4" shiners.
