Stripers on Hartwell?

Anyone been lately…if so hows the fishing?

Maybe having to make some lifestlye changes…

Deer season so I have not been and will not hit the water till after Thanksgiving.

Last report I had they were still catching some good fish around the dam area.

I have also heard some reports of freelines starting to pick up, water temp needs to drop to around 72 or lower and it should be close.

Try the Greenville Striper Kings web site and someone may be able to help you there.

Wish I could be of more help but I do not fish during the fall due to deer hunting

Meant to add be very careful Hartwell is 16’ down and dropping fast and also a lot of the ramps are closed

You should be able to pick’em up with a dip net. The water is so low.LOL

Is the drought still that bad over there??? Geez. We are close to normal around Rock Hill.

Hartwell is over 13’ low. And Clarkshill (Thurmond) is 10’ low. Russell is only 2’ low.

Thurmond is almost at 16’ low. Very few ramps open.

Can’t noodle catfish with the ramps out of the water. Hope it’s back up before May. I knew they were both below the stick but didn’t know exactly how much.
