after fishing a day in the timber at russell i realized my eagle claw circle sea 3/0 hooks are’nt up to the challenge–broke off 4 at the bend with 20# line -really would feel better if my line broke before my hook-any suggestions on a comparable hook that will take some abuse ?

With a stronger hook you will have to go to 150 # line on an International 50 with an awfall stiff rod! Good luck. are you using blue back or gizzarda?
