strtch 25 trolling speed/ depths

Any tips or suggestions to figure out how deep your stretch 25 lures are running./ w/ how much line back. Seems like guessing to me but i’m sure some of you have some tried and true tips.
thanks for sharing

There is a chart with the packaging that tells you. If you lost it you may want to email them.

I usually let out 150’ of 12lb test line…on eack back corner of the boat…

then midway boat…I let out about 75’ or 85’ of line…

I use four different colors of stretch 25’s…

Sometimes I will some weights about 4’ in front of the lure to get down deeper…it just all depends…

I troll at 2.7 mph…

Thanks Santee carl
I wasn’T running out near that much line. guess that explains why i caught a sea gull.
thanks i appreciate the info.

I run mine just the opposite of Santee Carl…I run my corners about 75 or so back and outsides back about 100 maybe a little different on some just to keep the baits a little staggered when turning not to get a mess…if you know what i mean…as far as catching a seagul…you prob had one that was fouled, line tangled or something they ussally go down even if you dont have but 30 or 40 ft out…had that prob the other night…my prob is that my boat will not slow down but to 4 mph…In the past i didnt think that was a prob…especial talking to the saltwater boys they go a little faster…I know i could drag a bucket or something but never thought it was a problem…The other night I was lapping lynnmc…but neither one caught any early…have caught plenty at that speed but was always during the day not night…I did see lynnmc catch a little cat on strech 25…that was a first…later Carl

Oh yeah on the color…Red and white …broke backs…holos…straights…any long as there red and white…had to eat crow on that one…tried black silver…trq and blue…blue and white and what every else…caught a bunch of fish and all were on the red and whites…I would have thought at least one on something else but nota…

Thanks Cuda
Where you doing your trolling . I’m on lake Marion
Your right about the red and whites, haven’t even had a bump on
anything else. I’ll keep experimenting with the line out deal.
Live Herring works but on windy days its hard to stay on the fish.
as the lake is getting smaller daily things are gettting a bit weird as far as past patterns applying to the fish now.

Here lately just around the ■■■■ on Moultrie…In the past though. we have caught most around #10 to #14 all the way to the dike on that side in front of SS in 40 plus water…Some reports of schooling but havent tried them yet…How bout you? Where can you put that Contend in on that side of the lakes?..I have a big one too and cant put it in anywhere now unless I lock up though the ■■■■ and you have to be out by dark or you spend the night…Later Carl

Cuda
I don’t put the contender on the lake thats my offshore boat.
I work lake Marion w/my pontoon, i live at eagle point , boat still in the water albiet i keep moving it out. The bite here has been on w/ live herring and minnows in Wyboo creek mouth and some at the ■■■■. some guys pulling Red and white rebesl doing well. Don Drose has been killing them w/ clients in this area.
No schooling that i have noticed but i’m not out every day.
If it happens i can see it from my dock then run for the boat hehehe.

Everybody has a certain way but has a lot to do with how much weight you use and speed.

An unchallenged LIE would soon become the truth…
