Took my 8 year old son out for a hour to check the sea conditions for an overnight sword fishing trip. Wind was steady picking up.
He caught 17 spanish in less than a hour. I had set up two rods, it was all I could do to keep dehooking them. Finally I had to leave I was tired of dehooking them. I think that was the biggest smile from him yet. His new X-mas list is full of fishing tackle instead of play stations & WII. Had to pass on the swords winds were 25 out of the north.

Take them fishing it makes a differance.

Sounds like you have a new fishing buddy. Used to live in Stuart Florida, Great Fishing down there. After work in the evenings I would head over to Waltens rock beach on Hutchinsons and surf fish. I always caught fish.I also was spooled several times by huge tarpon.

Just arrived there, yesterday. I am keeping the boat at the Harborage Yacht Club & Marina for the next few months. Looking forward to locating the sails in the next couple of weekends.

will be down there between xmas and new years…keep us updated with reports…would love to find a few sails our self…

Nice job. My brother and I just got back from Singer Island (WPB), FL and had a blast.

Taking a kid fishing is the best thing a parent can do! Congrats to him and I hope Santa stuffs his stocking with some new lures!

“Mess with the best… get hooked like the rest!”

“Why’s it gotta be this way?”
