Suction Cups

I am looking for some 1.5" - 2" suction cups. The kind that either have threaded studs sticking out of them or that you can use a screw to attach it tom something. Does anyone know of a source for them? I have looked and only find industrial sources that sell in large quantities.

Thanks

Look up Ram Mount Suction cups, they have all styles and you can get them on E-bay.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Mark is right about the Ram mounts. Well designed and very strong. You slide the lever on the cup and it really holds. I’ve had one in place for months at a time without loosening. I know this may not be exactly what you are looking for but here is their mount for phones. Combined with a LifeProof waterproof case makes it really useful.

Those Ram mounts are nice. What I am looking for though are the ones 1.5 - 2", clear with either holes to screw a screw into or that have studs already in them. I have a Starboard plier/kinfe holder I want to put on my boat but don’t want to mount it permanently on my console. I think I found what I need on Ebay of all places. I was just hoping someone knew of a more local source.

I made flat line clips out of the Ram Mounts, dang things work like a charm too.

Do you have rod holders on your console now? If they don’t have built in slots for knives and pliers maybe you could replace the present ones with some that do, hopefully with same screw holes. Here’s another thought. I had kind of the opposite problem, mine had slots for knives and pliers but I only needed one of each and didn’t have any cup holders so I made these that fit in the pliers spot. I also made a holder for a ripple foam patch to dry flies on that fits in the knife slots. If you can’t find suction cups or they don’t hold well enough, you could try making a tapered peg that would fit snugly in a rod holder and attach your caddy to that maybe.

Those are nice. My rod holders are built in to the console so that is not an option. I like those though.

Penny, Penny, Penny, what have you done?
