Caught a variety of almost everything. About 50 undersize sea bass. A 24" Black Drum. A fat 18" sheephead. A couple of 4ft sharks on live mullet, who took the live line within 5 minutes everytime. Skates. Gar fish and many grunts. All, other than sharks, were caught on live or frozen shrimp and/or live finger mullet.Didn’t really matter what bait we used, we got non-stop hits.
Fun day non-stop action until around noon.
PS caught 2 13" spottails in cast net when casting for bait- released of course.
Best thing about the jetties is almost guaranteed fish! Sounds like a fun day!
Fished the S jetty on saturday and Lost a 40 inch red at the boat because I didn’t have a landing net. Guess what’s on my list of gear to purchase?
