Headed out Sunday morning 930 am for planned free diving adventure. Menhaden madness as we left the inlet, 1 cast full live well (thanks pelicans). Once clear the breakers, 25 mph all the way out. Anchored, suited up, Spades everywhere! Visibility probably 10-20ft at some times. Filled box full of spades, had one tank for myself. Picked up a few more spades, trigger, flounder and sheeps on wreck. (Could of easily limited out on spades, just got boring hunted for others.) Up top, buddy had free lined a 4-5ft cuda, jumped 3 times 15 ft. out of water like a missile cut line on 3rd jump, was cool to see. Before leaving, PENN 6000 starts screaming peeling line, mist spraying from the reel as it peeled off. After 10 mins of guessing, to our surprise! Tuny! Never seen one this close.
Overall beautiful day, best I’ve seen in a while. Can’t wait to get back out.
