Sunday 5/14

I will be at the landing at Copahee sound no later than 9:00.I am going to stop at Barton and Burwell in the morning on my way, so if anyone needed tackle or any Kayak gear from Time Out, we can do that on the way. If anyone is concerned about weather, I think it should be nice in the morning. Everything I have seen looks like any rain we do get will be later in the afternoon. Pretty much looks like Today again on Sunday.
Should be great. Lets catch some FISH</font id=“size5”></font id=“red”>

“Paddle Solo, Sleep Tandem!!”

FOund out the hard way about the tides in Copahee Sound. I have never seen water disappear so quickly. Had plenty of time to bond and get really aquainted with Pluff mud. Oh well, never make that mistake again.

That sucks dude. I was too tired to make it out there but thanks for the invite. Did you manage any fish at all?

Saw a ton of reds, none wanted anything to do with us. After a while, we were just trying to not get hit by lighting while we were stuck in the mud. I’ll go again, just need to get out a few hours before high tide and get off that flat as soon as the oysters start showing up.

So anything below 2ft??? is to low for the launch. I’ll keep that in mind. Ya want to try this coming weekend? anybody?
I went out to Bushy this morning with only a couple blues and 1 missed trout but the water was glass with almost no wind. Try again tomorrow.

Went out Saturday evening on the high tide but got chased off by the wind, did find a good flat way back in the grass that floods on a 5+ high tide, June 10th at 8pm looks like a good time to hit it if anybody is interested

Sunday did get a little hairy with that thunderstorm!!! But I definitely want to hit that place again now that we know what the tides do to the flat! It was good fishing with you DolphinD

WHTZ71, I hope you did not get in to much trouble with the old lady sunday night…

“Paddle Solo, Sleep Tandem!!”

Nahh not too much trouble, but she did raise hell about being careful and on time blah blah blah. Our harrowing tale of survival did lessen the lecture a little bit I think! We need to get back out there and catch some of those reds!
