Decided to take fathers day into the ocean yesterday. Started trolling in 180’ or so around 7:45. One slinger at around 8:30. Not much going on trolling after that. Made it out to 400’ in 82* water. Had a few short hits but only managed the one slinger dolphin. After picking up and running to dodge a couple rain storms at about 11:30, we decided to do a little bottom fishing since trolling was slow. Commanche was full of life as usual. Managed to stay away from the AJs and cudas for the most part. Kept 15 nice vermillian, few grunt, and the one dolpin. Made something out of a slow day trolling. Ready to get at it again!
