Over the Ledge made the desperation call that his gills were drying out and we were off. Well no big hurry, first a stop at Bojangles and then a little fuel (300 gal) and then we were off! Hit the ocean about 10:30 and it was gorgeous! Headed up north to a 100ft spot and started catching BSB - yes the “almost” extinct BSB. We decided we must have hit the BSB honey hole that the SAFMC knows nothing about because there must have been a Gazillion down there! Seriously, this is a spot that we have fished for several years and never had to worry about catching black sea bass. They were puking up crabs, shells, fish etc. - one can only imagine what these things are doing to this habitat. Moved a few times and found some Vermilion, Silvers and Triggers. Ride home was better than the ride out! Great day to be on the water!
Ended with:
Limit of BSB, Vermilion, Silvers, 5 Triggers, 1 Shark (released) , 1 Scamp (released).
**One thing we noticed - the Vermillion and Triggers were very hitting slow and soft.
what was the water temp out there?
thanks for the report.
Glad to hear that someone is still goin out there producing! any tuna action and did you go any deeper than 100’?
Water temp was great!!! 68! I know first hand, due to falling off the swim platform:smiley: lots of Little Tunny around the boat all day! Had a great time! Thanks
quote:I'm still laughing about that one! I've never seen a grown man get back in the boat that fast - must have been that BIG fin we saw earlier!!
I know first hand, due to falling off the swim platform
Stayed between 95 -105 all day.
And for all those who had to fight off the Ballyhoo stealing Birds - He’s waiting for you!!
