Got out this morning and found schools of fish but flipper seemed to be following me. Caught one rat out of another school and then headed to a trout spot after the water got up. Caught three dink trout and headed to my favorite spot I always start and end with. I caught one more dink trout and decided to throw the fly rod before I left. Made 3 casts and caught a 22 inch trout which is my personal best in SC. What was really cool was I caught him on a fly I dreamed up and tied myself. It was the fish that made the trip worthwhile. Stopped by a friends dock and got him to take some pics before I cut the fish loose. Will post a pic if I can figure it out.
Wow great job and congrats. Not much more satisfying than catching a nice fish on a fly you created

Those trouts that size puts up a good pull and fight as they’re shaking like crazy. 22"er has been my best thus far. Nice report!
