Headed out around 7 from IOP
squid, cigar minnows, mudders, ect…
headed to r-8 to fish multiple numbers. started out with the illusive BSB’s must of caught 150 with some nice sizes… and then we caught a three foot long sucker fish, very interesting… then a spade fish school showed up… they stayed all day, must of been 150 fish took home a couple thanks to the ice man… well we had multiple cudas hanging aaround. musta been 15 in a large school just following the spades around, threw every thing at em we had… brought back a few heads but no hook ups… then the the big lip boys showed up…a school of five or more… had a few pin fish from the rocks to toss out after they wouldn’t hit fake eels… Boated two nice cobia, 30lbs and a hefty 47.7 on the trident scale at the fuel docks. woulda pushed 50 if he didnt break the rod. We had to guess gaff and really put a big hole in him… nice trophy cobia for Jon out of M. Beach…
