bringing the boat down the waterway on Sunday and looking to do some inshore fishing around the Charleston area. Anyone going Sunday or Monday. Any suggestions of where to fish. Really like flounder and trout fishing. last couple times we went around Sullivan’s island area and fished some of the creeks off the ICW. Got a topspots chart but tying to learn the area. Any help is appreciated!
WARNING: Do not tell this guy where your flounder spots are - he will catch ALL of your BIG flounder.
HA HA just kidding…good luck Jeffro!
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!

Haha. I heard most of the boys down in Charleston dont care too much about fishing for those flat fish anyways!! Everyone I talk to is always talking about reds and trout.(nothing wrong with that though)
I am hoping to get a few nice fish this trip. Just hope all the recent rain hasn’t messed things up too bad.
Hey Jeffro,
I can’t really help you locate any fish in the IOP/Sullivan’s area; I’m usually putting around near James Island. But, I figured I could add to this thread by suggesting finding cover from the forecasted 20+mph NE wind tomorrow. Maybe there are some islands up that way with thick trees that will give you some leeward relief. Sunday evening/Monday should be half that speed, which might help reel some in.
Good luck to you, sir.
Yeah, I saw that last night but didn’t realize it was as bad as they are forecasting now. Always something… Might consider trailering boat down and hope to fish Monday since were planning to be there anyway.
I haven’t spent a lot of time down there on the water but I am guessing the harbor gets pretty nasty with winds like they are forecasting.
the weather here looks good so far today. hope I didn’t call off the trip for nothing. weather forecast looked horrible
I went out of town for the day, so I didn’t get to see what the weather was doing, but I have a feeling that it wasn’t as bad as it called for. I hope I didn’t ruin anything.
no, Not at all. Who knows with the forecast, but it defiantly looked bad. We ran around on the river up here and had a good time. We will do the trip soon, and I wouldn’t mind getting another week or 2 without rain for the fishing to get better.
