Sunday May 19.....home safe and tired.

I’m looking at Windfinder and Sailflow…looking at 2 at 8 or 2 at 7. Y’all seeing the same thing?

Going for some bottom bumping to restock the freezer. Thinking about the Gardens or Y-73.

Im seeing 4-5 sec intervals. Wind at 10 knots out of the south South-east. Still may be a decent day. Good luck

It was a butt beating on the way out to the Gardens with the incoming swells in our face.

Got to the Gardens and had to fight our way through reef donkey’s to get our B-liners and BSB. Managed a few nice BSB between the AJ’s. Took a rookie (nephew) out for his first real offshore ride. He wanted so bad to catch an AJ…after one of those, he was done with them. HA.

Surfed the swells coming back in until about 5 miles from the jetties, then the butt kicking continued.

41004 buoy said it was 2.3 at 4’s and 5’s most of the day…not by blue bird kind of day.

This remora kept hanging around the boat for close to an hour when it finally grabbed my son’s bait going down. Once we got him in the boat, we let him marvel at the sun for a few minutes and tossed him back. He had enough of us and we never saw him again.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

it sucked on the way out for sure, i’m in a 27’ and it was a battle

Was that actually ~2ft@4s on the way out? Seemed bigger to me (height wise, it was definitely 4s) but what do I know.

Could have been taller and quicker close to shore. Windfinder and Sailflow both called for 2-somethings at 4 at Capers.

It was a test of my new 120lb Rhodan trolling motor. It held us tight all day. It was great now to run the drift or drop anchor.

And to the guy in the blue Contender(we think)…we didn’t mind you fishing near us…we set on the fish.

(4 people on-board for 19 b-liners.)
