Great day offshore thanks to Captain Coleman and a great crew. Fished south with most action between 250-300ft. Action was nonstop from 8-10:30, bite turning off seemed to coincide with a pod of 15+ porpoises on the scene. Great to have my dad on board, gotta love his routine of waking up after a few already in the box to a hookup handed to him. Not a bad way to start a day, he does seem to have it figured out. Tried for a hoo with no success, bite really turned slow after 11. Ended with 27 mahi, many of which were gaffers, largest around 25lbs.
Thanks again to Coleman, Dave and the rest of the crew. Hope to fish 50/50 sat.
I had a blast Sunday with captain Coleman. That was some fun, nonstop action for a few hours there. Coleman and the crew did a great job keeping everything under control. Hey Eric, isn’t Coleman going to start running charters on that boat? That would be great. I have been going with you guys for a few years now and Coleman has always put us on the fish. No skunk yet. Plus that will be a nice boat for charters with the satellite tv for slow times. I hope to be going with you again as much as possible. Tight lines in the 50/50.
Going out with brother in law and some of his crew if weather permits. Might register for tourney last minute but probbaly just fishing so will try and raise you if we get out
