Headed out about 6 to 100 feet. Ended the day with two nice grouper, a 25 lb cobia, vermillion and a but load of aj’s. We lost a dozen rigs on large bottom dwellers that seemed to be large grouper and cobia. Lost a 50-60 lb cobia at the boat. Good times with some new friends.

Looks like a big AJ. Good for you that you were able to keep those AJ’s off the bait long enough to snag a couple of groupers. I was out on Saturday and didn’t get by bait to the groupers without the AJ taking a bite.
That was my personal largest AJ off the sc coast. Was fairly large for sure. The grouper were caught on live bait, ajs on shiny metal haha
wow what was the weight on the AJ to get the boat to lean like that …Very nice fish, grouper nuggets. Cant wait to get out my self.
