Fished in the area between counts ferry point and Rocky creek using down lines in 45 feet of water the fish were about 5 feet off the bottom. Did not see any schooling fish on top. A few of the fish were small but they were up at about 25 feet if you could get the bait past them or wait till they left the fish deeper down were solid keepers. Gonna go again in the morning will report results when I get back. I hope the results will be as good as today.

Did you have any problem keeping the bait alive in 45’ of water?
If it was in for 15 minutes or so it would die. But for the most part the bait was not in long enough to die before being hit. After 30 minutes of being there we put the rest or the rods up we could only handle 2.

Looks like it’s time to ride up the lake a little farther. Usually, I don’t leave the Big Pool until October. However, you had some good action in the lower mid-lake.
