Got out Sunday for some trout fishing. Ended up keeping 3 over 16 inches. While I was fishing by these 2 docks a guide came in with a party. I figured he was going to the next set of docks where I have seen him before. After I finished putting a fish in the cooler he slowly eased by (thank you) and then to my amazement he hooked a right and went right over the hole I was fishing and dropped the power pole and anchor! I thought what the F*#%. But being the good guy I am I just moved on to another spot to catch more fish. I know they make a living at guiding but come on!!

Nice report. Great to see that the trout are hitting. I had this happen to me before duck hunting but never fishing. Usually the TTP is to shine a Q-Beam on them until they get the picture. I believe I would have changed my pattern and started fishing a lot heavier…3-4 OZ pyramid sinkers.
Most of the time as they are dropping anchor I’ll ask if they really are going to anchor there. If they did I would cast repeatedly about a foot short of their boat. Most people move when you ask if they are really going to anchor there. After about 5 min worth if they didn’t leave I would move on. My theory is they can take it and it’s not worth ruining my day but they’ll get the message after doing to a few people.
Naw man, just troll to within bout 10 feet of him and start talkin to everybody. Hey man, what kinda bait ya’ll got? Had any luck today? Got a bottle of water you can spare? Wish I could afford a boat like yours. After a while he would either tell me to shut the heck up or he’d move.
Longbeard I will not call the guide out. Hopefully he will see this and realize he was a#@hole. Funny thing is about ten minutes after I moved and got set up on more fish he was heading out. Which ment he didnt catch fish. To be honest if he would have asked me I could have put him on some nice trout since I had already figured out the pattern.
