Put in at Paradise at oh-dark-thirty this morning to fish the incoming. Managed my first top-water trout of the year on a spook- around 15". Found a little school of decent sized reds but couldn’t get them to take anything- tried about every arti i was carrying. Had about 10 minutes alone with the reds before flipper showed up. I moved on and continued to see plenty of reds pushing along the banks…mocking me. As the water rose into the grass, went after some trout. They seemed pretty willing to eat today. 15 total with largest around 20". And a little flounder. Fish didn’t seem too particular about what i was throwing- redbone paddlerZ, bad shad minnowZ and trout tricks. Gnats were horrible.
Good report! Congrats on the trout…
Great report…
