Decided to head out of edisto after wavering back and forth based on the weather report and boy I’m glad we did! Started in 90 ft or so where we had found king macks etc week before xmas… Lots of bait but all we could muster were some false albacore water had cooled down to 68ish. The ocean was really nice so I decided to keep pushing out…turned our to be a great call. Ended up around 200 ft on some nice bottom water temp about 74-75 and the wahoo showed up! First wanhoo o. my own boat made it special! Great ride back in… Pretty pumped about a good day and Mother Nature cooperating!
Nice HOO!! Plenty of sashimi for sure.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
Nice chunk taken out of this maurader!
Awesome job! Sure feels great to get the first one on your own boat, doesn’t it?
