Sunday weather indecision

I know its an amateur move to ask what the weather will be but I can’t decide what to do for Sunday. All reports say 50% storms. Wind shouldn’t be too bad, 5-10 S/SW. Any thoughts?

There is not much I don’t know about boats, but somehow I still see something new every day.

I mean it all depends on what you plan on doing, but with that weather idk many people that hate fish enough to endure those conditions lol.
Also from what I see the winds are up to 45 gusts…25-30 constant

It’s going to be snotty.

Too many other nice days to go out in this slop. Wind will be in your face on the ride out too. If you are going to the nearshore or capers or something like that, that’s doable, but still won’t really be that much fun. I’m assuming that if you are asking about the weather, you have a smaller CC boat. Offshore, I wouldn’t do that.

Sailflow is one of the best websites to look at for wind. You cannot trust NOAA when it comes to wind prediction usually. At least I don’t.

Thanks. We were heading offshore in a 30 grady. Pushed it to next Sunday. Now I’m kicking myself since all the rain is staying inshore and winds are only 13 out there. Oh well. They’ll still be there next week.

Thanks for the sailflow tip. I downloaded it and see what you mean. Good stuff.

Idk but the waves at the beach are pushing 5-6’…lol

The right decision was to stay home.

It’s better to be on land wishing your were offshore than to be offshore wishing you were on land.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

Make sure when you check your wind/wave site that you know what you are looking at. Some of the sites let you toggle between Knots and miles per hour of wind speed and also meters and feet of wave height.
Big difference in kph and mph and even bigger difference in Meters and feet.

Heading out this Sunday for sure. Outlook is much better. 2-3’s and 5kt winds. Still a chance of rain but more likely to develope over land than water. Now the fish just need to show up. Pics to come hopefully.

Gaaaaaaa! You’d think I’d know better than to challenge the boating gods. No fish today. Rain not a problem but the lightning…
